It’s official: Pokerstars, the largest online poker site is paying $731 million to the US government, says LATimes and other trusted sources.

The aquisition of Full Tilt Poker, formerly the biggest competitor of Stars is also part of the deal. The best thing is that all players will get their poker balances back, and Pokerstars/Full Tilt now aims to enter the US market again. All money laundering claims will be dismissed with the new deal.

This is a “fresh start” for both poker sites, now being part of the same company. All Full Tilt Poker players should get their money back within 90 days.

The settlement also includes that H. Lederer and C. Ferguson can’t be hired at Pokerstars. This is again an important step towards legalizing poker in the US.
